Can PillowWeights be used indoors?

Yes. PillowWeights work indoors or outdoors on any square or rectangular pillow from 12x12 up to 24 inches. They are completely undetectable inside the pillow cover and do not affect the comfort or appearance of the pillow.

Are PillowWeights machine washable?

The insert itself should be spot-cleaned only. However, if the PillowWeight is permanently installed inside a pillow cover, the entire pillow can be machine washed on a gentle cycle. The fastening strips are machine wash and machine dry safe.

What is the weight of each PillowWeight insert?

Each PillowWeight insert weighs exactly 1 pound (16oz). The weight comes from premium microglass beads — not metal plates or rigid inserts — so the weight is soft, flexible, and distributed evenly across the 10x10 inch insert.

What pillow sizes do PillowWeights work with?

PillowWeights fit square pillows from 12x12 up to 24x24 inches, and rectangular pillows including 12x20 and 14x24 inches. For pillows larger than 24 inches, we recommend two PillowWeights for full 50mph wind coverage. The insert itself is 10x10 inches and contours to the shape of the pillow.

How do I install PillowWeights?

Installation takes under one minute and requires no tools. Step 1: Remove the pillow from the cover and flip the cover inside out on a flat surface. Step 2: Attach the included fastening strips to the PillowWeight along the velcro square. Step 3: Center and press the adhesive side of the PillowWeight onto the back interior of the pillow cover. Replace the pillow and enjoy.

Are PillowWeights weather resistant?

Yes. The shell is made from UV-resistant, water-resistant ripstop nylon rated for long-term outdoor exposure. PillowWeights hold up through rain, sun, and daily outdoor use. They are wind tested to 50mph using a calibrated anemometer — documented with video proof.

Do PillowWeights work with all pillow shapes?

PillowWeights work with square and rectangular pillow shapes. The 10x10 inch insert fits square pillows from 12x12 to 24x24 inches and rectangular pillows including lumbar sizes like 12x20 and 14x24 inches. Circular or bolster pillow shapes are not currently supported.

Do you offer custom sizes?

Custom sizes are coming in 2026. Currently PillowWeights stocks one universal size — the 10x10 inch insert — which covers the vast majority of standard outdoor pillow sizes from 12 to 24 inches.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, PillowWeights ships internationally. International buyers are responsible for the full shipping cost. Domestic US orders ship free.
